About
Hi, I’m Kei Tsuda — most people call me K-san.
Ikigai Home Cooking was born from a belief:
that a thoughtfully prepared meal can shape the feeling of an evening.
I design and prepare curated Japanese dining experiences in the comfort of your home — intimate gatherings where conversation flows, pace slows, and food becomes part of something larger than itself.
Rather than cooking for crowds or events, I work with small groups who value presence at the table — whether it’s a quiet dinner for two or a meaningful gathering of up to six.
Each experience is carefully composed around the people, the moment, and the atmosphere you want to create.
Because dining at home can be more than convenient.
It can be intentional.

Delicious Japanese dishes without the hustle of going to a restaurant.
Weekend, Made Intentional
For many couples and small families, Ikigai Home Cooking becomes part of a weekend rhythm.
An evening designed to slow down.
A curated Japanese meal prepared and served in the comfort of home, without reservations, without noise, without hurry.
The focus isn’t spectacle. It’s presence.
And when the evening ends, a few thoughtfully prepared dishes often remain — extending the calm gently into the week ahead.

Three generations, one table
Some of the most meaningful gatherings are the simplest — grandparents, parents, and children sharing the same table.
In these moments, refinement means comfort.
A menu composed so everyone can eat with ease, at the same pace, without the kitchen dividing attention from the table.
When the cooking is quietly handled, the evening belongs fully to the family.

Hosting friends without managing the kitchen
Inviting friends into your home should feel generous — not complicated.
A curated Japanese dining experience allows you to remain present while timing, pacing, and preparation unfold seamlessly in the background.
No stepping away mid-conversation.
No juggling courses.
Just an evening that flows naturally.

Dining with Care
As tastes and needs evolve over time, dining well becomes more attentive.
Japanese home cooking adapts beautifully — through balanced seasoning, thoughtful portions, and subtle adjustments in texture.
Rather than feeling restrictive, the experience remains cohesive and shared.
My role is simple: to prepare steadily in the background, so you can relax fully at your own table.

Hear what my clients are saying about the services.
Authentic Japanese food that we got to enjoy in our home! I liked how you talked about it being comfort food in Japan. I can imagine that your customers will enjoy getting a lot bit of an education about the particular food you’re making.
